André is the music-master of Master Payne's Circus of Adventure. He also plays Barry in the Heterodyne shows. When the Circus was attacked by the Spider Clank, he and Madame Olga led it away. After Agatha was allowed to join the Circus, he and Rivet were tasked with keeping her busy, so André assigned the repair of the Silverodeon to her.

He has a bit of Spark in him; he is so listed on the Girl Genius Complete List of Absolutely Everybody!, and he uses the Sonic Gun against the Monster Horse Beastie, to no avail. However, he's not mechanical enough to be able to do anything with the Silverodeon himself.
