I've been learning and playing around with making SVGs. In this example I made, the actual svg is animated, but so far Wikia substitutes a static png version when it's used in a page... perhaps that can be gotten around... --Undomelin 07:36, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
I can't get 'em to turn no matter what I do. I can see that you created them with Inkscape, but they don't turn. Billy Catringer 11:36, October 20, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I used Inkscape to draw them, then added in the rotation code in a text editor because Inkscape unfortunately doesn't do animation yet. I forgot, though, that not all browsers support animated SVG yet, or some support it only via certain methods and not others (described here). I animated them using SMIL, which is supported in the last few versions of Opera (at least since Presto 2.2, that is, Opera 10+), and Firefox 4.x but not Firefox 3.x (it was added in Gecko 2.0). --Undomelin 03:58, October 21, 2010 (UTC)
