Monsterss

It's jest ol' Snoz.

I know this is completely irrational of me, but it bothers me that a monster named Snoz has no nose. —jdreyfuss 12:14, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Good thing for Agatha he's in a committed relationship. AndyAB99 16:20,December 9, 2011 (UTC)
on the previous page you can see something that looks like a nostril, though, and in the end nostrils are all you need to get a name like "snoz". Finn MacCool 13:10, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
I disagree. To get a name like Snoz, you need a schnozz. —jdreyfuss 02:46, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
Curly of the Three Stooges was bald. Just sayin' AndyAB99 11:21, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Remember Hristo Tiktoffen's wristwatch? I'll bet Snoz's snoz is like that. Just waiting for the right time to be revealed. Phil likes to pull those kind of jokes. To understand you need to read Beam Jockey's account of Phil's snake. 20px-1298786.png Rej¿¤¤? 18:37, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Hristo's watch was truly a formidable arm. -- Billy Catringer 02:00, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Now im wondering what monster is next that says HALLOOOOOO so cheerfully ?.Agathahetrodyne 23:58, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Is it too early to guess some kind of genetically engineered Santa Claus? He does sound rather jolly. —jdreyfuss 01:22, December 10, 2011 (UTC)
Upon further reflection, perhaps the one that shouted, "HALLOOOOOO," was Snoz's girlfriend. She sounds nice. —jdreyfuss 02:45, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

Oh, and there really is a shop called the Fitting Room. It is owned by a lady named Marie Cooley and she specializes in corsets. -- Billy Catringer 02:24, December 10, 2011 (UTC)

~I love Snoz. He is now one of my favorite monsters ever. Snoz has a certain 'charisma' about him, and I hope he sticks around for a little instead of being a one-time appearance.

~Seeing monsters brings up an interesting question: What exactly are they in the context of Girl Genius? Well-made constructs (who are so well-made as to not need maintenance), early attempts at creating Jägermonsters, beings from another dimension (that came here eons ago and never left), or natural creatures? Do any of you have another theory? ~Mysteria Femina~ (talkAvatar wall) 04:38, December 11, 2011 (UTC) The Girl Genius Universe is so malleable at the hands of its characters, that I am not prepared to say anything about anything with certainty. However, I am fairly sure that the monsters in this universe are a product of genetic tinkering by Sparks and, possibly, others. -- Billy Catringer 05:43, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

~With exception of Sparks, the universe of Girl Genius is a close, if anachronistic, approximation of Europe, so it should be a safe bet that Sparks are involved in the monsters' creation. It's possible however that monsters serving Heterodynes are the result of the Dyne water messing up local fauna in the period between turning Dyne spring into a full river, and Castle starting processing all its water before letting it out into the river.

Heterodynes, of course, would likely still add their own modifications, and that could've given them the idea of turning warriors into Jagers. 216.52.12.243 14:34, December 11, 2011 (UTC)

I think 'monsters' is a catch-all category for any sort of critter that involves the creation of new life, or the manipulation of existing life into new and grotesque forms. It probably would include constructs of flesh like Agatha's adoptive parents since this is such a broad category, though Frankenstein constructs are a fairly well defined sub-type of their own (monstrous humanoid creations re-animated from various body parts). How ever you define monsters it appears to be a pretty popular subject of research in Europa! Great Cthulhu 15:46, December 11, 2011 (UTC)
