Hallooo, Dollink!

Ooh... Me like Mama Gkika's battle gear! And now we know she does indeed have a splendid HAT! ~Mysteria Femina~ (talkAvatar wall) 04:13, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

I like her splendid battle axe, particularly that she's named it "dollink". As an aside, Mamma and Agatha haven't met before, so introductions will be in order. AndyAB99 11:57, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Definitely *happy* Jagers. Well, not as happy as they are going to be once the Heterodyne sends them into battle, but still *happy*.70.39.231.36 16:54, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

Mama Gkika looks good carrying that axe. jdreyfuss 17:57, December 30, 2011 (UTC)

A not-logged-in user said there were shout-outs in the comic. Can anyone identify them? (We have a page for them if they refer to comics.) Argadi 00:53, December 31, 2011 (UTC

Of course they're happy! They got a new Heterodyne. a Pardon from Exile, a Damsel (if not in Distress exactly, in definate Need of Assistance), and a Close Quarters Battle all rolled in one! Add a New Hat and a big Grease Meat and Cheese sandwich and you have Jäger Vallhalla! Datkhound 02:40, December 31, 2011 (UTC)

Also every injured Jager believes the heterodyne will attend to him/her personally and cure all injurys. Agathahetrodyne 01:34, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

I just found this image, dated '06, of Mama Gkika. (Talk about planning ahead!) I noticed a few differences, though. In that original drawing from '06, her hat has the Wulfenbach winged castle, but in this comic page it sports a beautiful Heterodyne Trilobyte instead. Also, the finished comic art has more armor plating than the older drawing. It's interesting to see how the Foglios evolve the art over time. ~Mysteria~ (talk) 20:42, January 1, 2012 (UTC)

I can't quite put my finger on why, but she looks younger in the sketch than she does in the comic as well. —jdreyfuss 13:45, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
I don't really see that, but I did notice that her necklace went from a skull to a Trilobyte. ~Mysteria~ (talk) 17:21, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Below we have an announcement of interest to Treasure Seekers.

From the Heterodyne Hoard[]

You have all heard the Doom Bell. Now you may be wondering about the Heterodyne Treasure. The fine folks at Wikia have found some and want to help celebrate the next Girl Genius Day. We have thought about it Forum:Should_we_have_a_contest? and have decided to award the legendary treasure by holding a Zumzum raffle.

A Zumzum Raffle[]

Caveat Editor
Jaegers love games

What is a Zumzum raffle. It is a game where in a prize is offered. The only guarantee given is that all those who are not selected to receive the prize will not receive it. This leaves a small chance that someone who is selected will receive compliments of Peter, Wikia's Content Production Manager an autographed copy of Girl Genius: Agatha Heterodyne and the Guardian Muse.

Mayors pool

There are two factors in being gullible eligible for the Raffle.

1) First you must perform a labor. In other words make a significant and worthwhile contribution to the scholarly portion of the site. 2) You must be contactable. This would mean having an account and an email address connected with the account. If you are selected to receive the treasure you must be willing to supply a mailing address.

The benefit of your editing help is we will have a more useful site for GG Scholars everywhere. Hopefully you will stretch yourself and we will have more people who know how to add pages or do update maintenance as pages come out. The Foglios. Have. Not. Missed. A page update. Ever.

How the raffle will run[]

  • The qualifying period is between now and the 6th of January 2012.
  • Choose an appropriate labor.
More items can may be added to this list as they are thought of.
Or you may define and create your own labor
as long as it improves the scholarly portion of our site.
  • Complete the labor while logged in.
  • Add your name to the Treasure Seekers section of the raffle using ~~~~ the four tildas.
  • Wait for the end of the contest.
  • If you are not selected this is all you need do.
  • The person selected to receive the prize will be contacted by Peter via email. They will exchange the necessary info and the treasure shall be sent by Peter on behalf of the mayor of Zumzum.
  • So that we all know how the contest came out the person who receives the treasure must report back and add their name to the Treasure Finders list.

Details about chances[]

  • You may qualify as many times as you wish. This will not increase your chance of not being selected. I.E. One person, one chance.
  • Do not try to do all the labor yourself. Leave others something to do also. You may suggest useful things to do as well.
  • The purpose of the contest from our point of view is to increase the number of people comfortable with adding edits to this site. Plus to increase the valuable content of the site. That is the real Heterodyne Treasure.

The fine print

  • This site is not approved by, sponsored by, or affiliated with Studio Foglio, LLC or Airship Entertainment. This site contains portions of images clipped from the comic. Since they found us and linked to us (eeeee!), we hope this means our use of clipped images is "fair". No copyright infringement is intended. (See Copyrights) Of course, as TPU students, we strive for utmost accuracy and being absolutely, positively non-biased in our research on the early life of Agatha Heterodyne. Especially where the powerful, brilliant, perfectly reasonable, charming, dashingly handsome Baron is concerned. (Did we mention reasonable?) Any inaccuracies or omissions are the fault of our textbooks, we swear.
  • If you remember What's New with Phil and Dixie, the guy in the bowler hat may look familiar.
