Gil

Wow...a ton of stuff just made sense right now. --Master 3x3lcior 05:39, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Best reunion ever. Wonderful page. 20px-1298786.png Rej¿¤¤? 05:50, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Poor Tarvek. Bang must really like him. She hasn't threatened him at all, instead opting to play with his face, cling to him, and ask about "those little scars". (I'm not sure I want to know where those scars are...) Maybe--I don't--just--what the heck, DuPree? And smart thinking on Gil's part. I for one would not want to see DuPree as Lucrezia's puppet. *shudders* Also, Tarvek is hilarious on this page. ~Mysteria Femina~ (talkAvatar wall) 06:48, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Mysteria Femina I looked, the scars aren't anywhere that can be seen during Tarvek's resplendent phase. So not on the front upper torso. That leaves places on the back which we may eventually see or places lower which we never be shown this being a family comix. 20px-1298786.png Rej¿¤¤? 17:23, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
Rej, the other option is exactly why I don't think I want to know... ~Mysteria~ (talk) 23:09, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

This would confirm that that's Bang in the fifth panel.AndyAB99 11:03, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

Since Bang said "I thought you had jumped to your death..." could that be why Tarvek is hanging from the tavern signpost in panel 6? If so the story arc on that page is consistant from wooing, interuptous, abduction, confinment, escape, reunion and resolution, then the present. When I first read that page I thought that panel 6 was related to a different Gil/Zola *Happy Adventures in Paris*. Sharp pirate-boot heels to the back can produce cute little scars, too. It all adds up. Mskala 22:10, February 23, 2012 (UTC)

Gil has just realised something, but I'm not sure what. His stated reason for taking Bang with them isn't his real reason, it's an excuse. BTW, I'm beginning to think the hand-over-chest gesture is a code for "realising something important"; you can see Tarvek doing it a couple of times over the last few pages. I'm going to have to look back further to see if it's general. Re-reading, what a chore! :-) Brrokk 08:44, February 22, 2012 (UTC)

My memory may be off, but it was Gil who just showed up in the war room while Tarvek was already there. She should have already known Tarvek was there and be surprised to see Gil, not the other way around. Perhaps that has something to do with Gil's realization? —jdreyfuss 12:51, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Gil already met Bang on Castle Wulfenbach, before he went to the war room. Presumably Bang doesn't normally hang out in the war room because strategy bores her to death, so she was unaware that Tarvek was there. (I am certainly engaging in speculation here, but it seems reasonable.) She only went to the war room because she was looking for Gil, and they told he that he had left. --William Ansley 22:00, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
He realizes something when he's about to say "I'm amazed my Father hasn't -." hasn't what? Presumably, that sentence finished with "-shot her." So he either finally saw some deep reason why his father hasn't shot Dupree, or he realized that there's some deep connection between them and that she's somehow be a useful tool for perhaps freeing him? Xelvonar 13:21, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
Or he could have realized that she might provide the cover he needs to escape. She has her own ship, and with disguises for Tarvek and himself they might be able to get back to Mechanicsburg. Or maybe he just likes annoying Tarvek. Several possibilities here. Windowseat 18:22, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
I think that Gil stopped because he thought "Speaking of ny father, he's wasped and on board, and it would be really bad if DuPree got wasped as well." ~Mysteria~ (talk) 23:44, February 22, 2012 (UTC)
I suspect Gil's though is related to "Good job" . Argadi 01:38, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
Wow, I'd forgotten that! A code-word? What orders does it give to Dupree when she hears it? I don't think she has heard it yet, has she? Brrokk 13:24, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
The more I review what we know of Gil & DuPree in Paris, the more I wonder if they were foolin' around. Pitchin' woo. Making the metaphorical beast with more than one back. With DuPree hiding her true psychopathy, of course.--Bosda Di'Chi 13:41, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
I really doubt Bang could hide her true self, as is evident by Tarveks constant request to have her shot. he knows here very well indeed. Agathahetrodyne 15:30, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
You forget--she is good-lookin, and Gil is male. He wouldn't notice until later.72.154.20.91 23:58, February 23, 2012 (UTC)
