[edit] Last week:

[edit] November 2009 events

How are three and a half sparks and a mechanic supposed to deal with that?

Find out in the next
waltz powered week of Agatha Heterodye, Girl Genius and her dancing partners.

The castle gives us a history lesson of the Dyne. From its start as a sacred spring, giving death, madness or healing to those that come in contact with its waters. To the miraculous powers it grants to Agatha's ancient ancestor. To its becoming a river and destroying the first castle. To Faustus containing its waters effects by spinning energy therefrom, allowing him to create the most marvelous of creations, ME. (It's a good thing the castle is modest.)

Meanwhile back in the present the green Heterodyne (Agatha) finds out just how green she really is. She has caught Tarvek's Hogfarb infection. Now the cure they find will have to work for three.

Is Gil well enough to cure them all?
Will the waters powers have to be used as Plan C?
Will caution overcome Moloch tendency to drink anything?
How does the Dyne taste compared to Beetle Beer?
Othar, Zola, Lucrezia what are they up to?
How will Gil kill Tarvek?
How will Zeetha kill Gil?
Are any of these questions relevant to the next
Dyna-chromatic week of Agatha Heterodyne, Girl Genius.

[edit] Why this is here

[edit] For your amusement of course.

I had started to help with the monthly descriptions. In May 2009 during all the action, the comics events were exciting. The descriptions got into details. They lengthened beyond the limits tolerated by others. The writings got squashed; then came back revised. The tone I had been striving for was gone. Missing that, I moved the May stuff to a personal commentary on the action page.

With the resumption of the main story line in July I have resumed the weekly commentary.

[edit] Theory vs. Practice

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice they are different.[1][2]

[edit] Hypothesis vs. Theory

Most of what I do in the Fan Forums is speculation, conjecture and hypothesizing. If any of that becomes theory it will be because comic pages that haven't been written yet will verify the speculation to be immutable fact in the context of the GG story and canon. I am nonplussed and surprised that everything here gets labeled a theory.

[edit] Bon mots

  • "Levity is what keeps airships afloat.
Everything else is just ballast". --Rej
  • The cure for boredom is curiosity.
There is no cure for curiosity.
Dorothy Parker, (attributed)[3]
US author, humorist, poet, & wit (1893 - 1967)
  • “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.
One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.
    Never lose a holy curiosity.”
Albert Einstein [4]
  • "We are all agreed that your theory is crazy.
The question that divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance of being correct."
- Niels Bohr, co-founder of quantum theory

[edit] Rej Maddog

The name comes from a combination of roles of a favorite actor. Both characters were madboys of the first order.

[edit] A Rej namesake

Ha. Found while googling. Obviously a close relative.
