Welcome to the LaboratoryEdit

You have entered Rej Maddog's Mad laboratory. Mad goggles recommended.

In here you will find experiments in ratiocination that would make Sherlock jump back into Reichenbach Falls. Speculation that would make the stock markets fall and real estate tumble (oops too late, drat).

Anyway its a place for some of my wilder idea's and wish-fuller thinking. For saner thoughts you are encouraged to visit Castle Heterodyne.

Mimmoth Paste Edit

This is a paste made out of parts of Mimmoth's that make sticky glue. It has the consistincy of fudge. It is used as a sloppy way of holding things together. The joins are somewhat loose.

It seems to this fan to be used by the TPU Professor's of the Department of Irrefutably True History in place of strictly tight plotting. When used in an article it is meant to remind the rabid fans that the story is not meant to be taken to seriously or too literally. If it rattles along like Baba Yaga remember that you need the eggs er laughs.

Why this is hereEdit

For my sanity.

Examples of scenes that need Mimmoth paste.Edit

I.E. outtakes and glitches

  • Sleipnir's chirality challenged chains and cuffs. First it is on one hand then the other .
  • From the first novel p-xxx Theo calls his Mother Demonica. In the comic his mother is Serpentina while Demonica is the mother of Zola.
  • From the second novel Gil is said to be looking back from 22 years. Yet Klaus was abducted two years and a season before Klaus Barry was born. Agatha was born in the winter after the castle blew up. That event happened a year and half a season after the boys birth. So Agatha's story takes place after her 18th birthday and Gil's 21st birthday at best. Given Skifandrian women take nine months like everyone else. Zeetha is pegged by Higgs to be in her early 20ties. So she and Gil are likely twins or born to different mothers at about the same time.

If the Dyne has enough levity could you .... Edit

Build an airship using Dyne water instead of hydrogen for the lift?

What would happen if England found out about this. Flying submarines?

What becomes of "Agatha's" bodyEdit

As you may remember, the last time the Baron was calling Gil and idiot, he was pointing to the ready to decant body that Dupree brought back from the trip to imprison Agatha. It was supposed to be Agatha's body. In fact (if this story can said to be have fact's) it was a reconstructed Madame Olga. The now somewhat grey matter challenged fortune teller. So what does the Baron do with her.

The Baron is good a picking the right monster for the right job. He also is working on the problem of 'quality of life' issues for some of his gorier spark experiments. So wouldn't the reanimated Olga make a good companion and intellectual match for Dr. Dim?

Storm King needs wimmenEdit

Gil aims to have Agatha and she gives every sign of being willing to be had.

Tarvek plans to have Agatha. But that plan never works. Plus if they both had her it would not be good for at least one of them.

Sooo... Tarvek needs the woman behind every good man. He has to be introduced to the happiness he doesnt't believe he can have. And he has to be miserable in the process. Who better than the rescued or revived Zulenna?

Well how about two Zulennas? Olga has been cloned but w/o memories. Zulenna's mind could easily be copied into Olga's body. The lady finding herself a tramp would prove very amusing to us and ever so educational to the princess. Of course the copy would have to share with the original. And Tarvek would find himself challenged into pleasing both women in body and soul. Zu would keep him on the straight and narrow and remind him about straight forward honor and sacrifice. Zu in Olga might relish the contorted plots and scams he will come up with.

Lu needs a nubile bodyEdit

For the Heterodyne witch to marry the baron she needs comely body. The only problem here is I think she would also like to be a powerful spark. Olga Ziga afaik is no spark. Other than that it would suit Lu's vanity.

Citadel of Silver LightEdit

Agatha H. and the Clockwork Princess makes it clear that the Geisters were created and raised in the citadel of silver light. It is the long sought for home. The joyful aspect of Lu as Goddess was like Demeter helping with crops and and fertility. Lu's skill with genetics would come in handy. Especially if the Geisters reproduced by parthenogenisis. The Skh-mah might indeed have been a boon to the Geisters if it made their children stronger and more resistant to diseases. The cost was to have order imposed on them by the priestesses and the goddess of course.

In the novel Vrin indicates that serving the goddess and raising the holy child were why they were created. Does this mean their very existence is the result of Lu's mad science? Vrin also states that the harsher aspect of the Lady reappeared after an absense of 50 generations. Which brings the question how long is a Geister generation? If it is 20 years then 50 generations ago predates the Heterodynes finding mechanicsburg.

Just how sparky could the offspring of Agatha and Gil be?Edit

LadyVivamus asks. Hmm. Can you imagine young sparks making birthing dingbots in the womb? Or constructing twins while they wait?

Perpetual DingbotsEdit

Agatha's prime clanks wind-down in a day. While this is a design feature on Agatha's part. Might not the dingbots see this as a flaw at some point. Castle Heterodyne has access to enough power to keep it running for over 20 years without stopping. Gil's Heterodyne device and Agatha's lamp/death-ray battery seem to have an unlimited supply of the stuff. So it seems to me there is no reason the dingbots need be limited by winding. If they can't tap the source directly, they certainly could build something that did. Then task it with their winding. Like teaching a dog to chase its tail on a turntable.

Ha. The Circus clanks used the axles of the circus wagons as a means of winding themselves up from time to time. So energy conversion is a concept they understand. They would still get in trouble if they were to long away from a source of energy they could exploit.

Klaus Chump of SkifanderEdit

  • Skifander = Barsoom
  • Klaus = John Carter
  • Boris = Thark companion
  • Zeetha's mother = Dejah Thoris
  • Gil = Carthois of Helium
  • Zeetha = Tara of Helium also Xena

Hedyrodyne LamarrEdit

Not her real name. Actress and Femme Genius found a way to communicate more clearly through noisy confusion using eighty-eight notes and a melody. Used the knowledge to help build and control death dealing devices for a good cause.

What's wrong with this scene?Edit

In the last panel Silas Merlot takes both hands off the controls, draws a pistol faster than Gil can drop on him from five feet up. And shoots Gil paw somewhat non-lethally.

Seems to me this is out of character for Gil to get himself into this situation. Or Silas has been training for making mayhem a lot more than one would think. The fact that he has smuggled the weapons in and been allowed to keep them belies his hot headed impulsive nature in the attack. Plus, except for Gil, his rounds have all the effect of those fired in an A-Team battle.

The carelessness of Agatha with her weapon, the lack of response from the tiger-dog. The carelessness of Gil with his zappy stick. Are all unsettling to this reader. We have main characters acting like idiots in situations where the stakes are too high for idiocy.

And another oneEdit

01:15, April 30, 2010 (UTC) last wednesday comic. Gil and Tarvek have gone thru a lot. Even helped each other survive and even had a chance to take out their aggresions on each other. Cured by Agatha and her dynefish antics, that are back to their old antics too. Nothing has changed except Tarvek is calling Gil Wulfenbach instead of Holtzfeller. What a disappointing lack of character development. I am just going to have to face it. I am reading a cartoon, with cartoon characters. Sigh. The plot (and character development) could use a shot of dyne water itself.

Woodcutter & Stormholder Edit

At the beginning of the end of An Attempt at Romance it was clear than Gil knew Tarvek. On the next page it was clear that Tarvek knew Gil. But Tarvek didn't know which Gil he knew. [1] Tarvek clearly gave Gil a hard time in Paris. Gil's overt contempt for Tarvek is also apparent.

Then the mystery becomes one worthy of Moxana. Gil is willing to risk not only his life but a horrible death and madness to keep Tarvek from passing away. Fighting a horrible disease to pull of a SVV risky [2] reanimation, could be motivated by Gil's sense of adventure. Hey, he risks himself regularly to save Zola. Yet my curiosity asks me, "Is there something more to their relationship?"

ParisEdit

What did they both do in Paris? Was there an incident where Tarvek helped get Gil out of a difficult situation? (Probably something that required diplomacy, and general all around snakiness.) Were there times in Paris when Gil helped Tarvek? Was there then a falling out?

Castle WulfenbachEdit

The falling out happened on the castle. Tarvek befriended a loner. They had adventures. They discovered things. And got caught. Gil stayed. Tarvek left. His spy equipment betrayed by Gil. By the time Tarvek got to Paris, they were bitter friends. Who got involved in each others adventures.

Castle HeterodyneEdit

The SVV has made them blood brothers again. Though still rivals. While distracting the castle they had a chance to exorcise their bad blood. And who'd a thunk it. Tarvek can fight like a ninja. Gil has to up his game just to stay one up. One up is a relative turn. And with these two usually played like leap frog. So it looks like they will be best friends again. If they live.

Zola Edit

Cousin Pinky
  • What is her real last name?
  • Is she one of he good guys or one of the bad guys?
    • She is trouble!!! Horrible trouble!!!
  • How far back does her involvement with the Knights of Jove go?
  • What's her version of what she and Gil did back in Paris?
  • Is she legally Sparky?
  • Is she a she? Has she always been?
  • When did she know Loremistress Milvistle?
  • Why does she keep making such horrible decisions?

I also want to remember that she most resembles Euphrosynia Heterodyne as protrayed by Reichenbach's opera. Of course this only proves the KoJ was behind the opera and the portrayal was to advance the plot. I personally don't think she resembles Lucrezia. The painting shows enough points in common for me to feel strongly she is a Mongfish. I will assume she is a child of Lucrezia's from before she married Bill. Probably by the chump who we know slept with our favorite minx at that time. I am also now of the opinion that Zola is not a sympathetic character. Mongfish traits coupled with incompetence are unattractive.

Tarvek seems to think she is competent. E.g. the hairpin she used to set herself free. Not to mention the ability to overcome the ichor of somnia. Not only for herself but also for Tiktoffen. There is a large amount yet to be explained about her. She is very manipulative.

She held her own in a contest of wits with Lucrezia. As a result she is more dangerous than before.

Tinfoil hat speculationEdit

Zola is always trying to be in the forefront of sparking things. And she is as likely to get her head in a bucket as not. So, to become sparky does she buckle on the helmet of the transference engine and channel Lucrezia? With the engine fixed it might not be too picky. Also with Zola's penchant for trouble she might find her parts need replacing piece by piece. Do you see where this is leading. Zola and Enigma are one and the same.

I wonder when I wrote that. So far she has buckled on the bucket. Lu has been transfer in and trapped in Zola's neural net. Zola remains on top but is turning more and more horrid and otherish by the page. She just runched Zeetha so bad that Higgs doesn't believe Zeetha will live. And he is taking it out on Zola. She's now finding out why he is called unstoppable.

Mixed Messages Edit

The Foglio's like to subvert expectations. Sometimes to this reader it seems they go too far. Zola the impostor comes off as false, mean and self-centered. Yet she is also funny. The Tony Curtis line she utters before entering castle Heterodyne. Once inside she exudes arrogance, guile, and willful ruthlessness. Murderous willfulness.

The fly in the ointment is she is always generous towards Gil. And Gil has a fond if not trusting opinion of her. Why? My curiosity wants to know the back-story to this. Plus I will be disappointed if she turns out to be an unworthy companion in adventure. Part of me had her categorized as similar to "Vash" on Star Trek. But the Foglios have portrayed her as both selfish and clueless. She is at the same time helpless and accident prone and clueless, secretive and blabbermouth, careless and manipulative. Basically she does not seem congruent. The reader is left to swing between notions of her personality and her purpose. All with the suspicion that the Foglios have just not done a good job on developing her character. Of course its hard to tell because they are playing games with the reader. They love guiding the audience to mis-guess intentions and developments. It makes it very hard to figure what is meant by what is shown. Which wouldn't be such a bad game if the did it consistently and played fair. Phil is on a deadline to produce three pages a week. So sometimes the detail work isn't there while at other times it is. This is understandable but frustrating for the daily reader.

Right now I feel sad for her. She is trapped into the three thermodynamic laws of villiany. She can't win, she can't break even. and she can't get out of the game.

The Incident Edit

The castle blew up. What precipitated that?

Before the castle blew up there was nothing more important for the Heterodyne boys to do than deal with giant vegetables. After there is a war for two-three years that changes the face of Europa and wipes two thirds of prominent families. Then it stops. Bill is never heard from again. Lucrezia is never heard from again. Klaus mops up; gains control of vast holdings; installs pax Wulfenbachia on the remainder. No hive engines are seen for 18 years with the exception of the Strumhalten underground. Barry is seen again but on the run for seven years. Punch, Judy, and Agatha in hand and hiding. At the end of that time he leaves expecting to be gone only slightly. But Eleven years pass. Duke Omas/The golden duke resists. Is defeated. Vienna 707 carries Omar and Molock til it too is trashed. A hive engine is found and brought to Beetlesburg. An enigma appears from elsewhen pointing out to someone Agatha or her locket. The baron tests his sons perceptiveness in Dr Bettles lab. Agatha sleep invents the search engine mark I.

Agatha is captured by and escapes from the Baron.

Agatha is captured by Tavrek, Geisters, Lucrezia, the Baron and escapes.

Agatha passes the castles test and starts reclaiming her birthright.

Agatha defeats the castle, Zola, Gil, Merlot and that brings us up to now.

What happened twenty years ago when the castle blew up?

  • Was Lucrezia possesed by the other at that point? Or before?
  • When was the first hive engine created.
  • Given that answer, when was the first hive engine activated?
  • Where did the hive engines come from?
  • Who knows how to build them?
  • What is the purpose of infecting people with wasps?
  • Did the castle kill Klaus Barry?
  • Who blew up the castle?
  • Was it deliberate?
  • Who burnt Lucrezia's notes?
  • Was it deliberate?
  • Who murdered Lucrezia's servants?
  • Why were their deaths necessary?
  • What did Von Pinn do that day?
  • Does she have an alibi?

New FindingsEdit

The explosion wrecked the castles main source of physical power, the water wheel. It left in tack the dyne dejuicers that left the dyne safe for everybody elses consumption. Power from that kept the castle energized in its disassociated state. Other damage from the explosion hampered the communication of the parts.

Lucrezia was dabbling in the transmigration of souls. She built the summoning engine. Stored a copy of herself there. She seems to have migrated Otilia's soul to Von Pinn. And part of the castle to Otilia. Where did Von Pinn's soul wind up? Was some of it left in her body? All that fierceness and animosity does not seem to fit the angelic muse Otilia. On the other hand the protection and care for children seems to be the muse all the way. It was also stated that on that day Von Pinn went mad.

My speculationEdit

There was a migration experiment that went wrong. Part of the castle imbuded the Other with the desire to wipe out Europa Sparks w/o relent or mercy. That seems to be the castles thing. Part of Von Pinn's original personality or maybe all of it got migrated into the castle. It caused havok. Deliberately as the castle, killing Klaus Barry and Von Mekkhan's son. Large portions of the staff died as well. No idea if that was deliberate. Actually not so sure about the first part either but it is dictated by the rule of cool. The explosion happened because the castle (or part there of) went mad. The loss of the part that went into Otilia caused a madness and loss of control in the castle that lead to accidents and the explosion.

Clues from the novelizationEdit

The prolog and first chapter to the novel is now available.

Prolog takes place three years after the castle explosion. The war has been going in earnest for two and a half of those years. The other destroys things with wasp engines which create revenants actually mind controled/infected people prone to following orders from the minions of the other. Also by very precisely aimed rocks which impact the the kinetic force of meteors. Where do they come from? Barry seems to have confirmed his conjecture. The other can be found, can be beaten.

The time line difficulties are resolved Lu was in the first of second term of pregnancy at the time of the explosion.

The boys were last seen alive in Woggleburg after the destruction of Lord Womak "The lightning eater".

Two years and three months Edit

Means two things. First Klaus could not be the father of Klaus Barry. Second there was enough time for Lucrezia to birth yet another child before Klaus Barry. If so this leads to interesting possibilities. E.G. Zola could be a half-sister to both Gil and Agatha (and maybe Zeetha). Turns out she is Agatha's cousin, the offspring of Aunt Demonica. Everybody should have at least one overly annoying pink relative.

We still don't know who her father is.

Zolula (Malfeazium) HeterodyneEdit

Oh yeah. This is a good one. Zola still has some major secrets to reveal. And we will probably be moving the page. Again.

Which of the Wulfenbach thirdlets is responsible for Gil? Edit

Basicly is the part the provides the head (i.e. Klaus) from the same thirdlet as the part that provides the progeny?

Klaus has a wonderfully dry sense of humorEdit

Who is Holzfäller Sr?! It finally hit me that this is a sly joke on Klaus's part. Klaus, Laus, and Aus are all combined in Klaus. All three pushed back into one skin to make one supreme warrior. Gil indeed is the son of a sausage. And one who is willing to make a fine joke out of it.

What kind of man does this make Klaus? My wonder and respect for him have just grown by leaps and bounds. He is truly an amazing character. I wonder what he said to Gil just after Gil found the records. "You're father was indeed turned into sausages. He is I. I am he." That indeed would have put the wammy jammies on young Gil. Enough to make him break through as a spark by creating his own friend... ...out of sausage parts!

The Foglio's are more twisted than anyone gives them credit for.

What happens when there are two rival Heterodynes at the same time? Edit

Would they each have the help of the castle in fighting each other? In other words. We know the castle has a test for blood. And a test related to the command voice. Does it also have a test for dominance of will?

Lucrezia's Game Edit

Lucrezia's Game a meditation.

Skif-hi-ing KlausEdit

Prof Zarachne's theoryEdit

On the yahoo gg group "Prof. Zarchne (of Zarkhnistan)" <zarchne@...> zarchne Wed Jun 30, 2010 2:24 am wrote: I believe she had a job for him that involved his allying with Zantabraxus. My guess is that she wanted Klaus to help Zantabraxus overthrow the pirate queen (Bang's mother) who held Skifander... not so much to succeed, but to throw the country into chaos, weakening it, allowing the Geisterdamen to invade and take over.

This made so much sense to me that I needed to clip and paste it here.

Also...Edit

It conveniently allows Lu to use Klaus as a scapegoat for the Others actions. And the war to end all sparks.

HorcruxesEdit

The word wasn't even invented in Agatha's day. It wasn't even invented in my day. But in J.K. Rowlings day she needed a word to describe the prolonging of life by not keeping your soul in your body. There are even in gaslamp times stories of people hiding their heart's outside of their body so as to prolong their life and make the body invincible in battle. At least to those who do not know the trick.

Lu's beacon engine and beacon are a form of horcrux. I wonder if it may also be responsible for her lack of human feeling. Or come on were talking about Mongfishes here. They are genetically predisposed to pure evil. Especially in GG which is essentially a horror story with punchlines.

The holy child/Von pinn/zola's father puzzleEdit

tvt post: Ori Doodle there has got to be a grain of truth in it. Else it would ruin the setup. I mull what it means over in my head often. Her first cheezy lines were "Yonder lies the castle of my father." Which would suggest either Barry or Bill as the Heterodynes. Later while pretending to be Lu in Zola she tells Lu in Anevka that Barry is not a threat[[. That spooked the princess. Why did Zola think/know that?

The other piece of the puzzle that must fit in here somewhere but which I don't know where to place is in Vrin's flashback. When the pregnant woman shows up in Geisterland. She is "not in the same lovely aspect" she had usually appeared in. Indeed she is also not even blond. The flashback appears in sepia so the dark hair coloring has not been remarked upon. But in the same flash back the Geisters silver hair appears light. So the pregnant woman definitely has dark hair. It could be Lu in disguise or it could be someone else.

The additional piece of the puzzle is Von Pinn. We know Von Pinn was a construct. We know the ghost inside the shell was Otilia. We don't know who supplied the flesh outside the clank. The Foglios have given some clues/hints/herrings on the subject. Starting with the secret blueprints.

It is said that she isn’t a construct at all, but actually a princess from a kingdom on the Moon (ridiculous), that she is the reanimation of a dead Lucrezia Mongfish (an interesting idea) or that she is a construct built by Klaus to replace his lost love (unlikely). The latest rumor to go around is that she is Gil’s mother, but others maintain that as an infant Gil was found in a giant speckled egg in an extinct volcano, so the jury is still out.

So the Foglios have a secret they have prepared us for but haven't yet revealed.

=speculatationEdit

Von Pinns body isn't of either of Lu's sisters. Zola's mom helped train Zola in Loremistress Milvistles techniques. So it is very likely that the body is somehow Lu's. Agatha is born before march and the other war starts in earnest only in late april or early may six months after the castle explodes. So lu has Agatha. There are problems with the birth. She winds up wearing someone else. The leftover flesh of Lu is used by Lu in who to create Von Pinn. Attempt is made to copy Lu into Von Pinn but the results are not promising so they are overwriten with a copy of Otilia. Otilia's body is used to back up a part of the castle.

E.G. a pregnant Zola's mom. She goes in this new form to start the war. The war starts. Zola is birthed as the holy child. Barry and Bill rescue her and eliminate the new Lu. Barry discovers Zola is not Agatha. Finds Agatha and switches the two. Travels with Agatha. Leaves her with the Clays. Gets caught up. Asks Higgs to mission on board the W fleet. Vanishes or is captured. Barrys interest in Zola is that he fathered her?

Hmmm. Problems. The other pregnant lady at the time is Zola's mom. But we know Lu does not wear her because later she helps Zola prepare for Lu's dubbyk. Barry as a good guy is the one who would not fall for the bad girl. I mean he could be human and do it but in the shape of the story it would not be satisfing. Barry would not leave a daughter to take care of a niece. Would he?

How did Zola get to be so selfish?

Begats Edit

Who Begat whom?

Time Meddlers Edit

Hmm. There is hope for this story yet. Time travel doesn't work. At least according to Othar in his current adventure in a time line that doesn't seem to correspond to our own, contradicted by his own previous adventure where he not only went back in time but met his other ill-fated selves, and the suspicion that his survival of frequent defenestrations from airships is due to some continuation of the p-smith like duplication of his selves.

I fervently hope that the story confines itself to time viewing and not time travel. Unrestricted time travel kills the idea of story. Beginning middle and end. Cause and effect. The necessity of making choices. The finality of decisions and their consequences. Of course this means that the reveal in Othar's story has to have something to do with him waking up from a bad(?) dream.

A name on the door rates a rug on the floor Edit

Pages for recently named characters. Here we name them and then create the linked page later.

Vonn Pinn and the Lady Heterodyne Edit

Von Pinn and Agatha are like oil and water. They don't seem to mix. The castle was trying to interrupt their deadly argument. What happens if the one Von Pinn is to keep safe is really the other "Lady Heterodyne" you know, the pink one. Also if Gil were in a condition to stick an oar in what would he say about Von Pinn? According to his experiences and memories was Von Pinn fair and reasonable with him? Would Gil want to stand up for her?

If I were in Agatha's shoes I would want to get Von Pinn out of my hair permenently as quickly as possible. That would be the only acceptable solution. 'Course instead of firing the gun at her and hitting the castle, it would probably be more effective to fire the castle at her. Something Agatha has not thought to try.

  • How did Lucrezia manage to compel Von Pinn?
    • Can Agatha learn how to do that too?
  • Why did she choose that particular compulsion? (See Lucrezia's game).
  • Did she also give Von Pinn other compulsions?
    • In particular did she compel Von Pinn to protect Klaus Barry?

A Chilling thoughtEdit

For two hundred years the Heterodynes have produced very few female heirs. Science suggests that as many Heterodyne women should have been born as men. So why so few heirs like Agatha? Has Von Pinn been protecting the world from Heterodyne females for 200 years? Keeping them safe by watching their graves?

There were several other memorials on the floor of the Heterodyne crypt. Are those the innocent daughters of Heterodyne? Watched over and kept safe by Van Rijn's Von Pinn?

When the goddess of the Geisterdamen changed Von Pinn's directives did she just change their polarity? Does that account for Klaus Barry's demise? Will the next 200 years be full of Girl Geniuses???

Von Pinns constructionEdit

Lucrezia (currently in Agatha) claimed to have created Von Pinn to obey her. Otilia in Von Pinn replies she has fought off the control because she has always been Otilia. But the body of Von Pinn is a construct of the kind we would call cyborg. Part machine, part reanimated flesh and blood. Whose flesh and blood?

  • On the castle all the kids know Von Pinn is Lucrezia (having never met Lucrezia except through stories). The novel emphasizes this even more.
  • Von Pinn hisses so much that Dupree taunts that she is losing air.
  • Lucifer had three beautiful daughters, Lucrezia, Demonica, Serpentina.
  • In the novel Theo tells Agatha his mother was Demonica and was lost to him twelve years before the story began. Killed with his father while fighting air pirates.
  • In the graphic story Theo claims to Lucrezia that Serpentina was his mother. And Zola says she has always resembled her mother Serpentina Demonica. When Kaja caught that mix-up Zola's mother was renamed Demonica. So canonically the issue is confused. Studio Foglio has not gotten back to me on my note.
  • Von Pinns hair style resembles Zola's in that there is a cowlick in front.
    • On the other hand Zola shows no reaction to Von Pinn when they are both in the basement. The story did not make a point of having either notice the other.
  • Zola also mentions her Mother keeping LoreMistress Milvistle hidden for years. That would imply her mother was alive for years after the other war ended.
  • Von Pinn is on board Castle Wulfenbach. Zola never is though you would expect her to be as a the daughter of a prominent Mongfish.
  • So Von Pinn flesh can't be either of Lu's sisters. She might have been from a clone of Lu or a sister however.

I tried to work with the idea that Von Pinn was somehow a reanimated Original Lucrezia. This causes so many timeline difficulties I decided it couldn't work.

I then decided that the original name scheme is the one in the novel. Demonica DuMedd is pleasantly alliterative.

Which leaves Serpentina to fall prey to her monster of a sister. Maybe she was offered a free make over in good faith. Then Post revivification rush altered her personality and gave the amnesia often associated with same. Might even have been one of those nice to nasty personality changes. We don't know much about Zola's mother. The experiment a partial failure Lu would compensate by recording a copy of Otilia's personality over Serpentina. Serpentina may also have been wasped or old fashioned mind altered to make her obey and serve Lu. Von Pinn with Otilia's personality and extra constrains might have made an ideal nanny.

  • Where did Klaus find the nanny?
    • Probably not in Lu's secret lab.

Serpentina being Von Pinn would fit with the constant hissing. The cowlick. And so forth.

Second Prize.. ...Two nights with Bangladesh DuPree.

As Higgs well knows. And she has not yet got a chance to thank him. For which Higgs is greatful.

Summoning engine in action Edit

Bzzownt zweeeng. That was an upload.

Then Vrin prayed. The engine emitted a sound that looks like heterodyning. Suspect Trans dimensional Harmonics are in play.

Zownpf. That was the download. Agatha is now owned by her mother, the other.

Transdimesional Harmonics Edit

Every time this happens a tuning fork or heterodyne notes are seen. Often both.

Who'll save Zola this time? Edit

Nyar,Nyar . Several thoughts.

  • "Actors"
    • Gil and Agatha are in sync and of a mind that Pinkie needs herself a lesson taught. What they are doing is putting on a show.
    • Will the courageous victim learn some self reliance or at least self restrain.
      • Agatha might be willing to lend her von Pinn.
  • The spider reminds me of zoing.
    • Is he in on the act?
  • Jaegers like bugs and now that there are two Heterodynes in the castle there is nothing stopping them from showing up on cue.
  • Tiktoffen could take a turn here.
  • Though I do picture Zeetha slicing and dicing it with her swords.

Fridays comic will have my interest.

  • Apparently they weren't acting.
  • The spider was totally commited to the role of villian. (Remember Olga?)
  • To the rescue: the Heterodyne portable claw mitt. In the hands of Von Zinzer.
  • No Zeetha yet.
  • Tiktoffen eventual takes a hand and extricates the pink Heterodyne.
    • Making us wonder again about where his loyalty lie.
    • And how comfortable that fence he straddles could possibly be.

Von Needle and Von PinnEdit

A theoryEdit

Higgs could be the original Von Pinns other half. If Von Pinn is a construct, then his and hers might be half Von Pinn. The other half might belong to the current body of Higgs. We have seen this body take a licking and go on tickin'. So he could be physically a clank. Psychically he is probably as old as Von Pinn's Otilia psyche. And do consider what it says on his hat. There must have been muses in his past.

A now discredited theoryEdit

On the doors of the McKim building at the Boston Public library are six figures Left: Music and Poetry Center: Knowledge and Wisdom Right:Truth and Romance

Outside there are two reclining female statues. One for scientists, one for artists. On the floor above the main entrance at the entry to the study room there is a mural of nine muses. Who all look pretty much alike to me and carry different variations of lyre like instruments.

The Foglio's muses don't correspond exactly. The symbology seems to overlap. I wonder where they drew their inspiration from?

The two in the middle, The Ying and Yang couple drew my attention. They seemed odd and hard to place in any of my muse symbology. Recently I notice that Von Pinn is similar in coloring to white haired dark coated one particularly as depicted in the Opera. Which would make the other....

Needles and pins,
   Needles and pins,
   When a Man marries,

Von Needle (black hair white coat) and Von Pinn (blond hair black coat).

Alternate theory about Von Pinn's creatorEdit

As much as I like the above it is pointed out that Von Pinn is a flesh and blood construct not a delicate muse. So it is possible that something and somewhat else is responsible for her creation.

What are we leaving out? At the time of the storm king there were two powerful rulers. Presumably Ogglespoon who won the bride also had a brilliant spark working for him. Someone to help build bride stealing(rescuing?) airships and fearsome childrearing constructs? The story hasn't mentioned any names for us to hold onto but surely Van Rijn had a counterpart in the Ogglespoon camp. Else the forces would have been unbalanced in the Storm Kings favor. I wonder who would have kept accurate records of this? Paris? The Heterodyne castle library? Klaus's library? What ever happened to Ogglespoon? Who was on the otherside of the hundred year war? Which side of the war were the Heterodynes on? Hmm. Hmm. and Hmm.

Mammoths, Mimmoths and ...Edit

Q
So, if mammoths are very, very large and mimmoths are very, very small. What do you call one that is just right? Say about the size of a pony?
A
Goldilocks the Meanmoth.

The Green Heterodyne Edit

That would currently be Agatha. It works on two levels. She is newly known even to herself as a Heterodyne. She has made remarkably few errors to date, though hugging the resplendent duo might be responsible for her present bad hue-mor. She may also turn out to be enviornmentally friendly. If she lives.

Mechanicsburg timeline Edit

Time dilationEdit

From the clock tower we know that Agatha enters Mechanicsburg at 6 am on Monday by 8 pm on Wednesday she has managed to partially repair and completely shutdown the castle's AI. She and Gil and Tarvek have had many adventures along the way and precious little sleep.

The story in Mechanicsburg progresses about 64 hours as we in on the internet read it for over 32 months. Roughly speaking. So we are talking about a time dilation of 2 hours per month. 4 minutes a day. 10 seconds an hour. One second for every 6 minutes. A factor of 1 to 360 .

How early do Mechanicsburger's rise?Edit

It's six am when Agatha enters Mechanicsburg. Before that she greets Carson von Mekkhan at the gate. Before that he was at home baking bread. While he was doing that his daughter was at the market buying victuals. Before that the vendors had to get up and put out there wares. Just how far North is Mechnicsburg that the sun rises so early in mid-May? It might make a little more sense if this were mid-June.

How cold is it this time of yearEdit

Mid-May Wednesday evening in Mechanicsburg we notice a lit fireplace and lamps and the pendulum clock reading 8 pm. There is still light coming in from the slightly open circular window. As I read this page in December 2009 the setting seems somewhat seasonal. Time to get out the Mimmoth paste?

GG a tale unfolding at the speed of light. Edit

Since we have been in Mechanicsburg about 64 hours of story time has past and we have grown older by 32 months of calendar time. This is a time dilation factor of 1:320 which corresponds to a mad scientist given to travel at 99.9995% the speed of light. Gonna need that sleek ship Kaja and Phil won for their Hugo.

What free and on the way up Edit

This is guess nine and a half. The last guess is reserved for something totally different.

Well, what if the green light did not come from the core of the castle but from the heart of the construct. When the castle was destroyed Von Pinn went mad. What if she had reason. If Agatha could be suppressed by the other/Lucrezia personality. Might part of the original Lucrezia/Lucrezia be imprison inside Von Pinn? Imprisoned by a technique involving Transdimensional harmonics and therefore disrupted by Fra Pelagatti's Lion ? So what is climbing the walls is true goddess of the Geisterdamen. The fertility goddess and Mother of Agatha. She is still inside Von Pinns body and it's her heart not her bones that glow green.

In this scenario the Geisters were not introduced to the Shk-mah until after the other took over. Before that she was playing fertility goddess to the hilt. And since who ever heard of a fertility godess having only two kids I'll paste my bet that Zola is the offspring of Klaus and Agatha's mother on this guess as well. Zola having acquired the actress gene and Agatha the spark gene.

Besides everybody knows Von Pinn is Lucrezia ask any of the kids from Castle Wulfenbach.

05:07, January 21, 2010 (UTC) Well What?Edit

It's a Van Rijn muse. Probably Calliope. She has an unstrung bow and carries a quiver. Her hair, her attitude resembles Von Pinn's. She has Betty Davis eyes.

She is also larger than Von Pinn and probably a match for her. If Von Pinn was made by Ogglespoon's wizard then she and the muse are opposite numbers. So are their eight other constructs to opposite number the other muse's or just the one? Might as well await developments. Ah, Otilia, the Muse of Protection. I think I got my prediction wrong. Out of the pit came not another personality in Von Pinn's body. But a personality from Von Pinn back in her own body. So I get a hundred and eighty degree twisted Moxana point for this. and Anaxom point I guess. lets make that an Ana Mocks point.

04:02, February 9, 2010 (UTC) Well, well, what, what?Edit

Tarvek recognises the muse as Otilia the muse of protection. But Otilia says she is not one of the Storm Kings pretty muses. Complains about her limited hardware and claims that inside the shell, she is the castle. Ah well. Gas lamp fantasy apparently means nothing is as it seems. Absolutely nothing.

For all we know Von Pinn might still crawl out of the hole. And inside her shell? And we may wonder where she came up with the epithet "May her bones burn green."

QuestionsEdit

  • Why does Otilia glow green?
  • Where is the original personality of Otilia?
  • Whose personality does Von Pinn hold.
  • Where might her true personality be?
  • And how old exactly is Von Pinn.
  • Who really did construct her?
  • Who did the personality swapping?
  • When?
  • Where?

Airman Higgs Edit

February 22, 2010 (UTC)Edit

Who is Higgs? Where is he from? When is he from? He survives a powerful blow from Otilia. The clank processes that fact. Comes to recognize who she is dealing with. Or rather who is dealing with her. Just as Higgs dismantles her before she can say. Tarvek figures out something very quickly and backs up Higgs story.

So who is Higgs?

Barry Heterodyne
The hair color is right and he joined the Baron about a year after Barry disappeared.

But he did not contact Agatha and he doesn't have Barry's sense of grim purpose or bulk. It's hard to think Barry would have lost the former even if he might have been motivated to lose the later.

Higgs has the air of an immortal about him. Low profile. All the time in the world. No desire for conflict. Wonderful competence when called on.

I am guessing it was Otilia's memories that were called on or very old memories of the castle. Higgs is an immortal from the storm king era. Possibly:

Van Rijn
He seemed to know his way around Otilia's mechanisms. Plus he his attitude was nerd/geek like.
Andronicus Valois
Like Embi someone who takes his promises seriously. Immortality may have mellowed him.
Faustus Heterodyne
Also someone the castle would know. And someone sparky enough to solve the immortality/eternal-youth formula.

The authors have access to several other possibilities to difficult to guess. I would award this guess some Moxana points if it turns out to be someone from the Storm King era. More if it is actually one of the three I mentioned. Andronicus seems like the best shot but I like Van Rijn because it is my guess alone and my first impression. Faustus is my third bet because he's got the chops to solve the problem and I can't see why he would share the solution.

The other clue is that the Jägers seem to know something about Higgs they are not telling. So he is on their (and therefore Agatha's) side.

Now we just need to wait for the full reveal.

I still wonder if Zeetha can get the unstopable Higgs started. Oouh. He might be another offspring of Skif.

If it turns out to be Bill I'll eat my hat. I will bet Moxana points Bill is dead.SB

01:35, April 10, 2010 (UTC)Edit

He has given Agatha Dyne-water.

  • Was this his idea on his own?
  • Was it something suggested to him by Otilia?
  • Did Higgs twist Otilia's arm (clean off) to persude her to keep his secret?
  • What relation is Higgs to Agatha?
  • Why does Otilia start to say "Your... ah ..."

04:24, April 29, 2010 (UTC)Edit

He has reminded the castle of Igneous Heterodyne who reacted to the dyne similarly to Agatha, and blew up. That was a long time ago. He seems to have been present for the show and explosion. That would make him part of the Heterodyne inner circle. So Faustus? Because taping the Dyne skillfully could lead to the secrets of longevity/immortality. Or a Seneschal , his temperament and pipe remind one of Von Mekkhan. I still like the idea of Higgs being van Rijn but now that seems like a looong stretch.

16:26, June 2, 2010 (UTC)Edit

At the pit bottom. Higgs and Otilia have met Von Pinn. Von Pinn says "Oh, you've returned". She is looking at Higgs, maybe Otilia.

My belief is she recognizes Higgs. Why? What relation is he to her?

Could be the his and her slabs seen on the way down to the pit were for constucts. We assume those constructs were Punch and Judy. We also assume that they were the only constructs not just the first the Heterodyne Boys made. Maybe Von Pinn and Higgs were a construct pair themselves. At least in body.

The timing would not be right for a Heterodyne era construct to have the memories of ancient Igneous. But we are dealing with a theme full of transfered souls. So we could have an ancient Heterodyne's soul in a indestructible construct's body.

A construct pair would be both symmetric and explain Higgs blond coloring. Plus give a reason for the wall Otilia pushed him into to give way rather than his body.

22:16, June 14, 2010 (UTC)Edit

What is the significance of the Rozen Maiden?Edit

The story centers on a young boy that finds himself indebted to a living doll.

So what is Higgs relationship to the Van Rijn muses? Notably the Otilia in Von Pinn?

A man who smokes a pipeEdit

The one place you can sure find pipes is the Von Mekkhan residence.

A man with blond hair.Edit

The his and hers slab might have been for Von Pinn and Bosun's Higgs current body.\

06:08, June 21, 2010 (UTC)Edit

Speculation on the significance of Higgs initial. His initials are the same as

  • Alfred Hitchcock
  • Alex Higgs
  • Andronicus Heterodyne

So if Higgs is someone we haven't met yet might he be the son of Euphrosynia Heterodyne and the Storm King? Someone she got a chance to love but not marry? Thus a Heterodyne in name but not bloodline?

06:31, September 15, 2010 (UTC)Edit

We have now seen Higgs in action. And he is shipping out with Zeetha.

The observation from todays page is that he may or may not have seen the hidden Zola.

Zola's reaction to the appearance of Zeetha and Higgs is flight. But before that maybe recognition. Higgs' yellow hair make us wonder about a Mongfish connection. He could be a construct like but better than Von Pinn. He could be Lord Malfeasium and Zola his offspring. Or some other strong relationship to her.

If that is the case then if he saw her in todays page he might have chosen to say nothing about it to Zeetha. Just allow Zeetha to believe that she got away. Then his pronouncement that she would not be coming back would be more like a strong suggestion to the fleeing Zola. Basically, if you know what's good for you do not show up here again. Get far away and stay away. The game is up.

Higgs knows ZolaEdit

Looking at the page again. Zeetha is looking around and in the wrong place. Higgs is looking right at the pillar Zola is hiding behind. In the next panel he is looking in the directions she might of took off. How does he determine she won't be coming back? I really think Higgs knows Zola. Knows her really well.

Alternatively all could just be as it seems. But where is the fun in speculating that?

03
01, November 5, 2010 (UTC): Looks like alternately has it. Zola and Higgs fought and Zola did not recognize Higgs as anyone important. Also current theory now has him as guardian/server of the dyne goddess. So acting as Zola's guardian is out.Plus he joined Wulfenbach's service ten years ago. Zola would have be what eight? ten? so it looks like this one is a pipe dream. Still there is a small chance. Soon he and Zola will go tête-à-tête. Then we will see. About both of them if we are lucky. My thought is Higgs will give her Dyne water to have her prove her claim. My other thought is she will pass the test to some degree.

Higgs originEdit

Zerogee pointed out that in the second picture Higgs is only going with the flow. I claimed that to be a prime water skill. It is also a really good description of Higgs's life philosophy.

Big Higgs Lil Higgs
Rej MaddogAdded by Rej Maddog

Basically everything falls into place.

  • Higgs behaves like an immortal because he is. He became unstoppable when Egregious Heterodyne unstoppered the Dyne.
  • Previously he was the elf (virgin) of the Dyne. The keeper of the spring.
  • So his giving Agatha Dyne water was just fulfilling the job description.
  • His family is probably the same one that tended the Dyne spring before the Heterodynes arrived.
    • If not he clearly was never the castles master.
    • His mild personality makes him unlikely as a Heterodyne or a Jäger.
  • He goes with the flow.
  • 10 years of quiet undistinguished service aboard a medical ship, right up his alley.
  • He is 600-800 years old.
  • He would naturally officiate at Heterodyne baptisms. So of course he would know about Igneous.
  • He lives in the castle when not out on assignment.
  • The Jägers association with Jäger brew means they would know him and his true function.

Higgs is also the seventh JägergeneralEdit

  • He is old enough
  • He heals extremely well.
  • He is a tricky fellow, who knows many secret things.
  • He is very loyal to both Wulfenbach and Agatha.

Is Higgs also Van Rijn?Edit

  • Van Rijn was secretive. Never had anyone draw his picture.
  • Higgs hat refers to a story about a boy helping/being helped by mechanical maidens.
  • The muses were presented to the Storm King in such a way as to be looked upon to validate his actions.
  • They could not directly stop the king from being drawn into a marriage with Euphrosynia.
    • On the other hand they did give help and advice helping the king hold off the Heterodyne hoard.
  • The castle is periodically on Higgs to insure the continuance of the Heterodyne line.

I wonder.

  • Does he know what happened the night the castle exploded?
  • When did he know about Otilia and Von Pinn?
  • Does he know when the transfer to Von Pinn was made?
  • Where are his castle hq's
  • Did he meet with the Jäger Generals while on Fleet Wulfenbach?
  • Does he know how to make Jäger brew and Battle Drought?

21:52, October 4, 2010 (UTC)Edit

Chewing on the above paragraphs. Putting it all together, I come the the following conjecture:

Higgs body is a construct similar to that of Von Pinn. Made at the same time as von Pinns and dedicated to helping raise the malfesium child. Around eleven years ago, Barry repurposed the body by installing an ancient heterodyne personality in it. Maybe Lazaraus, maybe Faustus, and tasked Higgs with keeping an eye on the baron. I don't see how Barry could have mistrusted the Baron enough not to be unsure of his evaluation of his old friend. Higgs had little to do until recently. This was probably to his liking.

So von Pinn knows Higgs as a fellow nanny. His hair is blond because of Mongfish genes in the body. He is indestructible because he is a better construct. Probably even better than Von Pinn in her prime. His body remembers Zola and still watches out for her.

He is probably so capable of self repair that he did not really need the hospital or even mamma gkika's, he was there mainly to relax and renew old aquaintences, probably mamma herself. The soul in the construct has something to do with the seven muses thus the hat reference to rozen maiden. Confilicts with other of my conjectures about Higgs, it's just the current one.

DuMeddEdit

If Theo has no know living relatives (or parents) who's running the DuMedd house hold while he is at the Baron's school for the children of well behaved families?

What surprises wait at the bottom of the pit?Edit

  • Von Pinn!
  • Results of other experiments in mech to organic consciousness transferal?
  • Apparently Zola!

Violetta has a lovely pair of misdirections Edit

Violetta is awesome. My favorite character at the moment.

In the panel in which she tells Lu-Agatha her specialty it took me extra long to see the dialog balloons. Violetta has a lovely pair of misdirections.

How Maxim buys a hat. Edit

Well, the professors have given enough clues for the astute to jump the rest of the way.

Maxim gave his hat to Lars when Lars bought the farm. OMD would not mind losing his hat. It does not mean to him what it means to Jägers. He would hate to lose a fight. Maxim has only one chance left. Actually half a chance since the third attempt is now underway. Suppose Maxim not only loses this round but "dies" in the process. Might not the Old man give his hat to the corpse in sympathy, respect or disgust at it coming to this? So all Maxim's corpse has to do at this point is claim his prize.

Oggie: How did you manage that, Maxim?

Maxim: "Brainzzzzz"

Now let see if I've jumped to the wrong conclusion successfully or not.

--Rej 23:17, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Ah well, I knew I had to write that yesterday. Just goes to show you can't outguess the Foglio's.

Now that we've seen Maxim get his blows in it seems very unfitting for him to get a hat by beating up on an old man, even one who never before lost a fight.

Maxim actually earned the right to claim the hat. Now we just need to see who's thrown the jar and what they want from the situation.

Maybe its the daughter and she wants the hat for herself. Or his wife.

So the hat Maxim has to buy would be one to exchange for the one OMD is wearing.

Vun hat sammich to go.Edit

So Maxim wins the hat. Obeys the daughter and her fancy olives. Wins a cheesy hat w1th his brains. Ewww Messy.

Plus an invitation to call on Zeuxippe. Good thing Jägers are fuzzy on the rules.

Internal Chronolgy quake averted Edit

The professors Foglio are planning a Girl Genius Novelization. They have read some of it at a con. The midnight chemist has taken notes. If the notes are correct it takes at least three years after the castle blows up for Bill and Barry to fight the other to a stopping point. Those three years take place eighteen years before the story begins. Agatha has just turned Eighteen before the story begins.

So that throws the time calculations for a loop.

I still assume Klaus Barry was born around the autumnal equinox in 1892 and died when the castle blew up Halloween of 1893. However the notes from the novel would indicate that Lu was not pregnant with Agatha when she left to become the Other. Rather than the six months pregnant I had assumed. The story then could be taking place in 1895 give or take an annum.

It also means there is some story as to how Bill got Lu with child namely Agatha.

False alarm?Edit

Midnight is not the most reliable of reporters (cause they are always working in the dark). Said in a correction that someone who saw the draft corrected the three years to three months. That not only eases my concerns it actually supports the Great Pumpkin Conjecture.

Whew! and Knew it! Knew it! Knew it!

Actually the novel solved it a different way.Edit

  • Castle blows up.
  • Six months later the Other war begins in earnest.
  • Near the third anniversary of the explosion the boys roast slaver wasps in a Woggleburg swamp sixteen years ago as of the start of our story.
  • After that they are never heard from again.
  • The Geisters report they lost the battle and the child.
  • They have been in the shadowland for fourteen winters as of Vrin's meeting with the eighteen year old Agatha in Sturmhalten.
  • The holy child was the offspring of Bill and Lu according to Vrin.

City of Silver LightEdit

The second novel p274-5 expands on Vrin's converstation with Agatha. In a story like voice Vrin tells of the good aspects of the Goddess. Fertility of the fields and strengthening of the children.

At one point she says "But even if you are the child we seek,
a child is never exactly the same as the mother. Even with us...."

The implication is probably that the Geisters can reproduce by parthenogenesis. They obviously can have sexual relations with men as Othar and Oslaka got along just fine.

During the other war. The description of the Woggleburg attack describes a barrage of ten hives and ten large rocks. The hives descend by parachute. The rocks impact with great force. They also are surrounded by an ash as if they burnt up on entry from space.

How did Aggie get her name?Edit

I am also curious as to how Aggie got her name? She is named after the most resplendent of Graces and apparently only the second Heterodyne main line girl child in 200 years. With the first such girl child named after another of the graces Euphrosynia . Which leaves one to wonder about a third girl child and whether she will be named after the grace ( and muse of comedy ) Thalia.

Who named Agatha -- Agatha? Why did it take me so long to think of that question? Obviously the Foglio's were responsible for choosing the name. Yet who in the story was supposed to have choosen it?. It is full of Heterodyne history and classical significance, being the name of the second of the graces.

Now that Lu is known to be both evil and extremely self centered, its doubtful she would have named her future vessel anything ( thought Lu two comes to mind). So that leaves it to Bill or Barry. Bill's last act? Or Barry's first choice after retrieving her from the geisterdamen?

So there now appears a part of the story too Heisenburg to even guess at.

New fodder from the Foglio fictionEdit

Fodder for time line development (and confustion)

  • In chapter one it states Klaus disappeared before the wedding and reappeared 6 years later.
  • In the confrontation with Judy, Klaus states he was away for less than four years which has him back in action just about the time the war starts in earnest.
  • When Bang reports to Klaus
    • Its made clear she joined up 3 years ago after her pirate band was wiped out. Klaus had not found the army that did this to her and will tell her when he does.
  • The island Bangs mother ruled and which Bang was preparing to reconquor was in the North Sea.
      • How did she (and Zeetha) get there???
      • Aren't they warm climate types?
    • Wherever Bang was when she destroyed Moloch's walking boat, she was in the burnt out town of Furstenburg two weeks later.
      • There are too many F-burgs all over Germany to pin down where this took place. Not important since two weeks could get you anywhere.
      • How the heck did Moloch wind up in M-burg if they were heading to Paris???
    • As she is leaving she mentions she will be around for a while in case Klaus wants her to bomb Sevastopol.
    • This is the day the wasp engine is activated the day before ALL Hell breaks loose.
      • So Agatha's escape is from Sevastopol to Mechanicsburg.
  • Theo
    • Theo's folks died fighting airpirates 12 years before (1880)
    • Itto and von Tock were both born around that time.
  • Dim and Von Pinn
    • Von Pinn is rumored to be Lucrezia
    • Sparks have a penchant for self modifications.
    • Often leading to personality loss.

The road to Mechanicsburg Edit

  • Agatha lived in Beetleburg for 11 and a half years
  • Was captured on March 5th and traveled on board Castle Wulfenbach for nine days give or take a day.
  • From the novel we will assume Agatha escaped the castle somewhere in the vicinity of Sevataopol on the 14th of March the day after the full moon (give or take a day).
  • She caught up with the circus on March 15th we still don't know where.
  • First performance on Friday March 16th (except Bang and Gil interupted.
  • Traveled from there to an area patroled by Geitserdamen and spiders.
  • Traveled to ZumZum which is on Othar's route.
  • Reached ZumZum on April 12 the night of a full moon.
  • Traveled to Passholdt which in our world is Borgo Pass.
  • Traveled to Balans Gap and Castle of the Sturmvarous.
  • was there for a few sleepless nights until the Baron caught up with her on May 12 day after the full moon.
  • after the battle an airship ride to ??? near mechanicsburg whch she entered on Monday May 16th.
  • Then entering the Castle Heterodyne located where Bran Castle is in our world.

InconceivableEdit

  • So what and who was Von Pinn constructed out of?
  • When in relation to the castle explosion?
  • By whom?

from the graphic pages

  • Lu in Agatha says she constructed Von Pinn to obey her.
  • So von Pinn constructed by Lucrezia from whom?
  • Serpentina is out she didn't die until 1880
  • Lu is out because Von Pinn was KB's guardian, therefore constructed before the explosion.
  • It could be the gaurdian was Otilia in Otilia before the war.
  • Then when Lu is finally defeated Barry gives her the mod the make over and the mind transfer.
  • But then Lu in Agatha would not have recognized Pinn as her creation.
  • So after the war and Rickenbach falls. Lu in Enigma recycles the Lu body by creating Von Pinn

and transferring Otilia's mind into the construct?

Pieces of information floating out there.

Vrin says something about the difference in aspects of the goddess between the usual visits and the pregnant one. The pregnant one has dark hair. Which I shrugged off as sepia side effects.

However what if not?

Would Lu have used a surrogate host to save her having to be pregnant. Then transfered her mind to the pregnant host?

Thing in my thinking are not adding up.
